SoS 2017 Application Overview

SoS 2017 applications deadlines have already passed, however there are a few spots still available on a first-come basis. Acceptance to SoS is based upon many factors including: your application and references, length of commitment, country of applicant’s residency, and flexibility of arrival/departure dates.

Length of Commitment

Just as the widow offered all she had (Mark 12:41-44, Luke 21:1-4), we are seeking applicants who will give generously of their summer break.  Applicants who commit more of their available time are prioritized. There is a minimum commitment of 45 days for North American applicants, and 30 days for all others. The average commitment for accepted students is 64 days.

European Residents

Located in Austria, the Castle strives to provide European students with a local bible-based summer program. European students have far fewer domestic opportunities for spiritual growth and discipleship when compared to North American students.  Therefore, European applicants will receive acceptance priority.

Flexible Dates

Flexible dates will increase your chances of fitting into the dorm room schedule along with the other students.  Rigid arrival and departure dates are the most difficult to accommodate.  Upon acceptance to SoS, you will have a final opportunity to confirm that the dates you are approved for will work with your travel arrangements.
